For anyone else who might be tempted to standardise on their printer drivers for Citrix: DON T.. X-

I have just spent the best part of a month going bald repairing the print spooler on one of our Citrix servers becuase I installed the HP universal print driver for use with our printers. 2008/XenApp does not appear to like these drivers and basically killed the spooler. not to mention cause some weird problems with my printer publication in Active Directory.

My problem was compounded as our print server is only 32bit whereas our Xenapp installation is 64bit

If you can t use the citrix universal print driver, do yourself a favour and try the proper drivers - just stay well clear of HP s universal equivalent.. X-
